A nurse midwife who will provide intraparticular care must also have an agreement with a consultant physician. The Board of Directors may accept pharmacology courses that were taught up to five years earlier if they were delivered as part of an advanced practical care program. There is a two-year period for course work outside of an advanced exercise program. An aspiring nurse must complete an end-of-study training tailored to her planned practice (Nurse Practitioner Program in Arkansas). The Board of Directors stipulates that a licensing program for a clinical nurse specialist must encompass both teaching and practice in a clinical field. An advanced nurse currently licensed or licensed in another state may be licensed in Arkansas by approval. The nurse will conduct the licensing exam as well as the verification of the successful certification exam. The Advanced Practice Nurse will renew the APRN licence at the same time as the RN licence. The APRN must demonstrate the current certification; As a general rule, the training requirements for the APREN are the requirements of the certification body. An APRN with the privilege of prescribing must undergo five hours of contact in pharmacotherapy, which are relevant to his or her field of practice. Applications are submitted online. The online application is available on the Board of Directors` website (www.arsbn.org/). A non-governmental nurse may obtain, by confirmation, an ordering authority if she has taken a three-month or 45-hour qualifying contact course, which has the current licensing and standardization authority in another legal area and which can justify 500 hours of qualification experience in the previous year.
The Board of Directors will need (if any) DEA registration information. Arkansas APRN has a recognized advanced practice role and one or more areas in which the population is concentrated. The Board of Directors recognizes four advanced practical functions: Certified Nurse Practitioner, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, Certified Nurse Midwife; and clinical nurse specialist. An advanced practice nurse, who wishes to extend the practice to a new specialty, will take the post-master`s training required for the new certification exam. The APRN may apply for practice following the educational requirements. An APRN with normative power may only exercise standardization power for the second area after passing the certification exam. Once the training is complete, the APRN must submit a copy of the EC, a new Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) to the ASBN with a language indicating that you are requesting the waiver of DATA and proof that your co-operative physician also has a DATA waiver. The ASBN will notify the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as soon as the criteria are met, and the DEA will then assign a special identification number to be included in all buprenorphine prescriptions for the treatment of opioid dependence. This is in addition to the APRN AED number. There are no states where NRPA is fully regulated by medical bodies and only four states with common regulations of the practice of APRN.
To obtain descriptive authority, an APRN must have a collaborative agreement with a physician. Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) are registered nurses who have been trained to meet the requirements of a registered nurse in one of four advanced practice nursing roles – Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).
